Route story

The Other Side of Durmitor

Most visitors to Durmitor never venture to the southern flank of the massif — quieter, wilder, and in many ways more dramatic than the Žabljak side. The Sedlo Pass & Devil's Lake eBike Tour takes you there, crossing Sedlo Pass and dropping into the high valleys where three rarely visited lakes sit in deep mountain bowls.

Vražje Lake — Devil's Lake — is named for its dark, moody character: a still, black-surfaced tarn surrounded by steep terrain that rarely sees direct sun. Nearby Riblje Lake (Fish Lake) offers a gentler contrast, and then there's the third lake: a smaller, unnamed surprise that the guide will reveal along the way.

Crossing the Pass

Sedlo Pass is the key that unlocks this route, and the eBike makes the crossing straightforward rather than an ordeal. On the descent from the pass, the southern landscape of Durmitor opens up — a different mountain, seen from a different angle. The hard-tail bike handles the terrain with ease, and the moderate pace allows time to stop and take it all in.

A half-day tour that shows you a Durmitor that most visitors miss entirely.
