The Winch Launch System

What sets our operation apart is the winch tandem launch system. Instead of running off a mountainside (which requires specific wind conditions and a steep slope), our winch tows the paraglider from flat ground on the Durmitor plateau to flying altitude, then releases the cable for free flight.

This system offers several practical advantages:

• Lower cancellation rate — We can launch in a wider range of wind conditions compared to hill launches
• Flat-ground takeoff — No steep terrain to run down, which is easier for first-time flyers, children, and older passengers
• Controlled launch — The winch operator and pilot coordinate for a smooth, gradual ascent
• Consistent altitude — Every flight reaches approximately 2,200 meters, ensuring a full experience

The Flight Experience

The meeting point is near Vrazje Jezero (Devil's Lake), on the plateau above Zabljak. After a brief safety orientation and harness fitting, you are connected to your pilot in the tandem harness.

The winch pulls you forward and upward. Within seconds, your feet leave the ground and you are climbing. The cable releases, and you are in free flight — gliding at approximately 40 km/h with nothing but the harness beneath you and the Durmitor massif in every direction.

Flights typically last 15 to 25 minutes depending on thermal conditions. Your pilot can extend the flight by riding thermal currents or keep it shorter if you prefer. During the flight, your pilot points out landmarks: the peaks of the massif, the glacial lakes, the path of the Tara Canyon, and the towns and villages below.

Our team has flown more than 500 tandem passengers with a perfect safety record. Our pilots have 5+ years of dedicated tandem paragliding experience and hold all required certifications. They fly these skies daily throughout the season and know the local air conditions intimately.

Photo and Video

Relive the experience with professional in-flight photos and video for €20. A GoPro mounted on the pilot's equipment captures the entire flight — from the ground rush of takeoff to the panoramic views at altitude to the gentle touchdown. Files are delivered to you the same day.

Free Cancellation

Plans change, weather shifts. We offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before your scheduled flight. If we cancel due to weather on the day, you receive a full refund or can reschedule at no charge.

Who Can Fly?

Almost everyone. The age range is 5 to 80 years old and the weight range is 15 to 125 kg. No physical fitness is required beyond the ability to take a few steps during takeoff and landing. Passengers with mobility concerns should contact us in advance so we can accommodate you.
